Steiff Bears rarely make coloured teddy bears making this 1925 replica teddy bear even more special. The mohair was designed by Richard Steiff in 1925 to have the effect of a sun-bleached bear who had been sitting on the windowsill, but never made it into production.
The light green mohair has been carefully lightened to give the sun-bleached effect. Teddy Bear's paw pads are a contrasting beige and he has an unusual, horizontally stitched nose. He is stuffed with kapok for a soft and cuddly effect, and has special glass eyes. He is of course fully jointed and surface washable.
